Alece Oxendine is an emerging writer and producer with over 15 years of experience as an indie film industry strategist, educator, and distribution expert. She has held roles at Film at Lincoln Center, BAMcinema, Rooftop Films, Fandor, Good Deed Entertainment, and Columbia University’s film school. Currently, she is the Executive Director of Film Durham, a new film society in her North Carolina hometown, and frequently consults for non-profit organizations, films projects, and more. Alece is an alumna of Columbia University, a proud HBCU graduate from Winston-Salem State University, and is a descendant of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.
